About the Collection
The Shoe Therapy series is a series of shoes which celebrate processing thoughts out loud into the form of shoes. In this series, Converse sneakers are cut, altered, painted and sealed with different monster teeth. As part of the fun of different monsters, each shoe is unique as the teeth vary. There are a variety of monsters and teeth used in the series, as well as different color Converse- all of which give different characters and individuality.
The shoes are upcycled for 2 motivations:
The artists’ approach to art and design of using existing materials when possible
Monsters look better when they have some grit and life to them-they are scarier that way!
Each pair is signed and numbered by the artist. They are very wearable and get fun looks when people see them!
Notes for wearing:
Do not go by the size label to determine if they fit- try them on. The size is not always labeled unisex or for womxn or men.
It is suggested that you get a size bigger than your foot due to the artwork in the front of the sneaker.
Do not take off the orange tape on the inside of the shoe. They are for protecting the edges of the inside of the shoes…. And your toes! Haha.
